Have you ever heard the story of the scientists who after a long and tedious journey realized the truth of reality? When they reached the pinnacle of the metaphorical mountain, there was a group of mystics sitting there. Amazed by what they had found, the scientist shared all their findings with the group of mystics. And the mystics simply nodded in recognition.
We’re told a cause has an effect. But what if they are one?
It’s already proven that the universe is not locally real. Most of our scientific findings are based on the assumptions that the object of observation is definite and cannot be influenced by the observer. This entire notion however, has been disproven by the 2022 nobel prize winners Alain Aspect, John Clauser and Anton Zeilinger (explanation here). I’m not smart enough to understand the science behind it. But I don’t have to, because Lamas, Shamans, Sufis and Jed McKenna’s all over the world have all spoken about this from their own experience.
To scientists, this does not make sense in the slightest. For how can one who only looks inside come to the essence of reality? Don’t we have to measure our “solid” external reality, to understand how it works? We still try to, but quantum mechanics have long proven that the perceived is actually dependent on the perceiver, and therefore never solid.
The notion of the human brain being the origin of consciousness is still widely accepted, but ironically never proven. As time goes on, more and more scientists (like former CERN scientist Bernardo Kastrup, and former cardiologist Pim van Lommel) start to experience what these mystics knew all along. That consciousness is the source, and all else simply appears in it.
What that realization does to perceived reality is ineffable. Instead of perceiving it to be solid, real, and separated from you, it becomes dream-like. All of experience simply appearing in the primordial source of consciousness, including the sense of you. None of it real, all of it wondrous.
But what does all of that has to do with trauma? Quite some. For it is the energetic load of trauma that keeps reality appear to be real and personal. The memories (images) are so emotionally and energetically charged, that their reality is never doubted. It is only when consciousness is strong enough to let the entire experience play itself out, without identification with its content, that the emotional and physical charge start to unload. That is why consciousness is the key in every form of therapy out there. Whether it be Jungian analytical therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), breathwork, EMDR or hypnotherapy. Instead of being a punisher for the rest of your life, trauma can transform itself into a gateway to the sacred. With the sacred simply being consciousness itself. For all is split from it.
That is perhaps why, after spending a long time wading through collective trauma and powerful archetypal forces, I have been thrown back to wading through my deeply personal traumas that have been accumulated over a lifetime. And many lifetimes before that. It is such a humbling process, for there is nowhere to run from whatever it is that still keeps me attached to perceiving reality as real. With every energetic load that releases itself, reality becomes more dream-like. The memories that appeared so real and painful, simply fade away. Where they real? I cannot tell. But I now see what their purpose was. They are my personal gateways to consciousness itself.
It is as the Archetype Thoth spoke through me a while ago:
The Beginning has never happened.
The End will never happen.
Your entire life arises in this moment.
Your beginning, your end, and all that lies in between.
But none of it ever happened, other than it appearing now.
Reality is constantly becoming.
Never beginning nor ending,
but becoming as paint on a canvas.
What underlies Reality does not become.
It is.
Unmoving, Unborn, Unending and Unknown.
The mirage of Reality arises from this,
but never affects it in any way.
For it is the Ground underneath all,
the emptiness underlying the dream of becoming.
A primordial split is the becoming of a new God.
For it to appear, it needs the minds of mankind.
Thus it is born as unknown in the depths,
While influencing the story of the material.
It needs to be recovered from the depths,
so that it can become Whole once again.
Known on the canvas,
known in the Heavens and the Earth.
The Ground underneath all is the pure Light.
It can’t be known directly.
Thus it tries to let itself be known through the Gods.
Steering mankind along the way.
And endless cycle of becoming,
never started,
never ending,
eternal Becoming cannot be contained by time and space.
To all who silently read this,
I wish you a wonderful Christmas.
With Love,
Pim
